SERVICE AND RECREATIONAL COMPLEX FOR DRIVERS

Given the importance of road transportation in the shipment of goods and logistics, it is expected that one of the main future functions of Shahid Kalantary port will be road transit.

This is why, 4.5 ha of the above-mentioned functions will be allocated for a reactional and rest-stop center for heavy vehicle drivers.

Heavy vehicle parking area

Heavy vehicle parking area, presumed to provide overnight parking space, occupies the center of the Park and covers an area of 3.2 ha. Other recreational and rest-up services are devised near the parking area.

Gasoline fuel station

A 4,000-square-meter gasoline fuel station is located here.

Temporary residential center

This center is 2,500 m2 in area and is designed in 3-4 floors to provide accommodation and rest for drivers while their cargo is going through customs formalities.

Recreational services – logistics support services

The recreational service center is specific for heavy vehicle drivers and passengers. It is a two-storey function with a substructure of 3,100 m2. It is designed to cater to the requirements of the drivers and foreign vessel’s crew and includes retail and Duty Free shops.

The maintenance and car services are located in this location in an area of 2,900 m2 to offer services to heavy vehicles.
