At Arman Makoran Logistics Park relevant services exist to provide support for Shahid Kalantary port as it is within close vicinity to the port. In this way loading and discharge operations will be handled in the shortest time hence increasing the storage capacity of the port.
The design of the warehouse at the logistic section is based on the type of cargo. In general terms, Shahid Kalantary port will oversee two types of cargo; container and general. Therefore, the container cargo will be handled at the CY and bonded warehouse areas, multipurpose and refrigerated storehouses and hangars. Since general cargo is handled through the strip-and-stuff process at the CFS, a portion of the containers may be transferred to other storage houses.

Statistics reflect that in the past 30 years the maritime shipment of trade containers has seen an 8-fold growth. This substantial growth has left container manufacturing companies with demand overloads and delay in delivery.
Relocation and discharging of containers are competitive advantages for Shahid Kalantary port. That is why, Arman Makoran’s main mission focuses on container processing operations. Therefore, a large part of storage area is considered for container services.
This specified container storage area is divided into CY for the reception, submission and the storage of containers, CFS for strip and stuff operations, storage and packaging of containerized cargo. It is worth mentioning that, currently, Shahid Kalantary port possesses a 6-hectare container yard (4 ha for fully-laden containers, 2 ha for empty containers). But mostly this area faces shortage in storage capacity.
Existing data indicate that construction of this section for a variety of cargo ranging from rice, construction material home appliances, fabric, rubber, tools and appliances to fishes and fruits is essential. The CY and CFS together with refrigerated containers occupying a land area of 5.5 ha housing 76,000 TEU have been located to the west of the Logistics Park and at the closest to distance to the port, uniquely located for this purpose.
This projected site will be responsible for loading and discharge and clearance in the shortest time possible. The projection for the site will double the storage capacity of Shahid Kalantary port. .
In consideration for Shahid Kalantary port functions and its large share of General cargo, different types of storage areas are planned.
Bonded Warehouse
This type of warehouses mainly holds goods such as rice, pulses, tea, rubber, fabric, machinery spare parts, and all cargo types that require a closed area for storage. 7.7 ha of the gross area has been allocated for this purpose. This area is scattered in 4 sections at the Logistics Park. Two sections are next to the CY to facilitate the transferring of cargo to and from CFS and the two other sections are the center of the Park.
Multi-purpose storage
This type of storage is utilized for the export and import large cargo, for instance, cars, petrochemical products and other types of cargo responsible for the increase in the capacity of Shahid Kalantary Port. This function is located in the center of the Logistics Park in an area of 1 ha.
Hangars (roofed, no-wall storage areas)
This type of storage provides shelter from the rain and the ray of the sun. Considering the types of cargo the port receives, hangars can be used for machinery, ironware, cement, and construction material. Hangars have been projected to the west of the Logistics Park adjacent to the warehouses in an area of 2 ha.
Cold storage
Logistics data indicate that Chabahar not only is one of the 4 logistically significant cities in the Islamic Republic of Iran, it is among the 18 Agri-logistics parks of Iran. This should also be added that fishing industry is quite advanced in Chabahar calling for cold and freezer (below-zero) warehouses. To address this need, 2 hectares of the Logistics Parks to the west located among other warehouses have been slated for refrigerated containers and cold storage.
